Lorca redoubled the promotion of embroidery and its biblical-passional Holy Week parades (12/01/2018)

The processions will also be promoted at several stops and Metro Madrid stations, as well as in audiovisuals, advertising material and actions on social networks.

The Councilor for Tourism in the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has reported that the Municipal Council will redouble efforts to enhance the main tourist attraction and social dynamization of the municipality, such as their parades biblical-passionate Easter, within the Main Fair of Tourism of Spain, Fitur.

The Vice Mayor has said that our Holy Week is the main focus of interest of those who visit us.

We are talking about the most spectacular celebration of how many can be enjoyed in the Spanish East, endowed with an idiosyncrasy that takes on a unique and unusual character internationally.

We also have a special resource of special interest such as our embroidery, a tradition that is configured as traditional Lorca, forming a legacy that aspires to be declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

Lorca, and those who visit us, we are aware of the particular beauty of our embroidery.

In fact, the configuration of the different museums of our Holy Week Passes as a tourist resource are attracting tourists outside of the passionate period itself, contributing to the deseasonalization of tourism in Lorca, one of the main objectives that this municipality has set out to consolidate work face local economic diversification.

The Councilor for Tourism explained that the offer from Lorca will give special to our Holy Week in order to stimulate the purchase of chairs to witness the processions.

As promotional material of the event will be the official tourist poster of this year, entitled "Jinetear", work of the photographer Lorca David Giner, in addition to a battery of audiovisual resources that reflect the appeal of our Holy Week.

Francisco Montiel has indicated that Lorca will take advantage of the development of this Fair to spread our Holy Week in several key points of Madrid.

It is about not letting go the opportunity that the entire tourist sector is in the Spanish capital and that we are only two months away from the biggest event we offer throughout the year.

For this reason, we have opted to promote our Holy Week in Metro Madrid, with an important communication campaign that extends over time from Tuesday, January 9 to Thursday, March 15.

Two months in total in which large vinyl fences with striking images and striking slogans can be seen in the subway stops of Tribunal, Santiago Bernabéu and Gran Vía, as well as in the lobby of the Sol Metro station, a veritable node of communication through which thousands of tourists and locals travel daily.

This action is implemented with a promoted campaign that will broadcast thousands of visitors and citizens promotional images of Holy Week.

All of them magnificent examples of architecture and culture that serve to illustrate the history of this millenary city that guarded and defended the valley of the river Guadalentín and in which the three cultures cohabited.

Montiel Sánchez has anticipated that Lorca, which participates in the stand of the Region of Murcia (Pavilion 7 stand 7B13) will also show its gastronomic offer with a series of actions encompassed within the framework of "In Lorca, Gastronomy comes out Bordada" .

For this it will have the participation of the Lorca companies "Quesería El Roano" and "Clapzas Colapso".

The thirty-eighth edition of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) to be held from January 17 to 21 in Ifema, Madrid will host about 10.00 entities from 165 countries.
