The PSOE regrets that Bernabé is committed to the miracle of the loaves and fishes, promising in Lorca the best security device with the least number of troops (12/03/2018)

The Socialists lament that Bernabé, with its campaign of personal political promotion, come to Lorca to try to deceive the Lorca assuring that it will improve the security of the municipality, when his party has been cutting the templates of agents of the National Police, Civil Guard since 2011 and Local Police

The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar has criticized the Government delegate who, far from coming to announce an increase in the staff of National Police and Civil Guard agents, who have been recording personnel cuts since 2011, come to Lorca to try to deceive the Lorca by promising "the best security device with the least number of troops in years."

Sánchez Jódar insists that the improvement of security in the municipality of Lorca and, with it, the current conditions of security agents in the municipality will only come with the necessary expansion of the personnel catalog of the security forces.

The socialist mayor says that the data are "incontestable" so Bernabé is wrong if you think you can come to Lorca to force the Lorca to commune with mill wheels.

He assures that it is "very unfortunate" that Bernabé promises the best security device when Lorca, due to the PP cuts, has the lowest number of troops in recent years.

Sánchez Jódar wonders how Bernabé thinks that, with fewer staff than in other years, the current staff will be able to guarantee the coverage of a municipal area of more than 1,600 km2 without extraordinary reinforcements.

The mayor regrets that Bernabé only bring "smoke and fireworks", so it demands "concrete measures" that, in addition to the mobilization of the current number of troops who "do everything they can and more despite the cuts", go through the obligatory existence of extraordinary reinforcements of troops for these dates of special importance for the city of Lorca.

Sánchez Jódar recalls that the Partido Popular has dedicated itself to depleting the workforce, both National Police, Civil Guard and Local Police.

Since 2011, the templates of National Police and Civil Guard agents have registered a significant cut, passing, in the Region, from 1,668 National Police officers in 2011 to 2,481 in December 2016;

and 2,066 Guardia Civil troops to 1,957 in December 2016, according to the response of the Government of Spain to a question registered by the PSOE in Congress.

At the municipal level, the catalog of Local Police posts has also been subject to very hard cuts by the Popular Party, going from 153 in 2011 to 111 in 2016, with the loss of 42 staff mostly for retirements which have been amortized without replacement of the square.

Before the homage of Gil Jódar, from the PSOE take the initiative not to miss the visit of Bernabé to the city, and "do what should be doing, and does not, the municipal government team", which is "not even , nor less "than requiring the government delegate to comply with the agreements reached by" unanimously "agreements of the entire corporation, at the request of a motion presented by the PSOE in September 2017, and which are the following:

That the City Council of Lorca urged the Government Delegation in Murcia the provision in the municipality of Lorca of a Main Post Civil Guard composed of 60 agents and the corresponding officers and sub-officers, as well as the corresponding increase in the staff of the National Police.

Urge the Government of the Nation so that through the greater presence of Agents of the State Security Corps, the current units of action in rural areas and districts will be reinforced, likewise, to urge that vacancies be filled and, in In this case, they can be increased in order to guarantee the best possible security for our municipality.
