The integral improvement in the streets of Santa Quiteria, which involves an investment of € 837,921.95 includes the renovation of 238 residential connections, 4,631 m2 of sidewalks and 54 Led streetlights (18/04/2018)

This is a battery of actions that is completely changing this urban area, both in its aspect of providing service infrastructures, and in its aesthetic profile.

The Councilor for Works in the City of Lorca, Ángel Meca, together with the General Director of Territorial Planning, Architecture and Housing of the CARM, Laura Sandoval, have supervised this morning the progress in the works of integral improvement that are taking out in different streets of the neighborhood of Santa Quiteria.

It is, in particular, Horno Street, Santa Quiteria, Salvador Zamora Painter, as well as Alameda Virgen de las Huertas and adjacent.

This project involves a total investment of 837,921.95 euros financed entirely by the CARM.

The status of the works in execution is the following:

In Calle Horno, which has a total length of 410 meters, the work is executed at 60%.

We are talking about the realization of a battery of improvements that includes, in terms of sanitation and rain, the complete renovation of the sanitary and rain collector (PVC pipe diameter of 400 mm, as well as the renovation of 68 residential connections and the incorporation of scuppers for rainwater.

The work in progress includes the complete renovation of the general potable water pipeline, with the incorporation of a casting pipe (diameter 150 mm), and the replacement of 67 residential connections.

The improvement of the planned public lighting involves the complete installation of 20 street lamps with high energy efficiency LED luminaires, in addition to the burial of different low voltage lines and the installation of a complete channel for telecommunications network.

The existing paving is also renewed, including the complete replacement of sidewalks and roads, increasing the current surface of pavements by more than 2,000 m2.

For this purpose, 2,745 m2 of pavement with prefabricated concrete paving stones and another 3,374 m2 of asphalt will be used.

The collection of Urban Solid Waste is also improved by the installation of 2 islands for the management and collection of urban solid waste.

Another novelty is the execution of 16 tree nurseries for planting of trees, including scheduled irrigation.

Santa Quiteria Street, which has a total length of 171 meters.

The works on this road are executed almost entirely, in the absence of the application of the last layer of asphalt and the installation of road signs.

The work carried out includes, in terms of the sanitation and storm water network, the complete renovation of a sanitary and rainwater collector (PVC pipe diameter of 315 mm and 400 mm), as well as the renovation of 14 residential connections to which scuppers are added to rainwater.

The renovation of the potable water supply network in this street has meant the complete replacement of a general potable water pipe with 100 mm diameter cast iron pipe, in addition to the renovation of 15 residential connections.

The improvement of public lighting incorporates the complete installation of 6 street lamps with LED luminaires of high energy efficiency, as well as the complete undergrounding of low voltage lines and complete channeling for telecommunications network.

The new paving for sidewalks and roads, which increases the surface of pre-existing sidewalks, involves the installation of 432 m2 pavement with prefabricated concrete paver and another 1,721 m2 of asphalt.

Other services that benefit are the collection of Urban Solid Waste, through the installation of 1 island for management and collection, as well as the execution of 6 tree nurseries for planting trees, including their scheduled irrigation.

The works on Pintor Salvador Zamora Street, which has a total length of 135 meters, are also executed almost entirely, in the absence of the last layer of asphalt and road signs.

Different auctions are currently being made in the paving.

The works in the sanitation and stormwater network include the complete renovation of the sanitary sewer (with PVC pipe diameter of 315 mm.), As well as the renovation of 3 household connections and the incorporation of scuppers rainwater.

The potable water supply network is enhanced by the complete renovation of the general potable water pipeline with 100 mm diameter cast iron pipe and the replacement of 3 household connections.

Public lighting entails works for the complete installation of 5 streetlamps with high energy efficiency LED luminaires, in addition to the complete undergrounding of low voltage lines and the complete channeling for telecommunications network.

The works to improve the paving include the complete renovation of sidewalks and roads, increasing the surface of sidewalks.

605 m2 of pavement with prefabricated concrete paver and another 608 m2 of asphalt are used for this purpose.

Another urban element that is improved thanks to these actions is gardening, for which 7 treeholes are executed for planted trees, including scheduled irrigation.

The intervention in Alameda Virgen de las Huertas and adjacent, which supposes a length of 533 meters, incorporates in its network of sanitation and rainwater the complete renovation of sanitary collector (with PVC tube diameter of 315 mm), as well as the replacement of 37 home connections and the incorporation of scuppers for rainwater.

The improvement of the potable water supply network includes the complete renovation of the general potable water pipeline with 100 mm diameter cast iron pipe and the 28 domestic connections.

The works include improving public lighting by installing 18 street lamps with high energy efficiency LED luminaires, complete undergrounding of low voltage lines and complete channeling for telecommunications network.

The paving of the pavement includes the complete renovation of sidewalks and roads, increasing the surface of sidewalks, a task in which 832 m2 of pavement with prefabricated concrete paving stone and 3,516 m2 of asphalt are used.

Complete this battery of improvements in Santa Quiteria roads improvement of Domingo Albarracín street, which has a total length of 40 meters, in which work has been completed in the absence of applying the last layer of asphalt and install road signs .

The works have contemplated the complete renovation of the sanitary sewer (with PVC tube diameter of 315 mm), as well as the replacement of 3 household connections and the incorporation of scuppers for the collection of rainwater.

The renewal of street lighting involves the complete installation of 5 street lamps with high energy efficiency LED luminaires, while the improvement of paving covers the complete renovation of sidewalks and roads, increasing the surface of sidewalks thanks to the use of 17 m2 sidewalk with cobblestone of prefabricated concrete and another 221 m2 of asphalt.
