The Third March for Dignity will depart from Lorca next April 27 (19/04/2018)

Joaquín Sánchez, Paco Morote and Ginés Fernández, all members of the Platform for the Marches of Dignity, announced this morning the route of this third edition of the marches that will depart from Lorca next Friday, April 27 and conclude in Murcia on 1 May, which on this occasion will focus on the fight against unemployment and job insecurity.

Ginés Fernández, spokesperson of the March for the Dignity of the Region of Murcia, said that in this edition the marches will focus on two of the evils that plague Spanish society: unemployment and job insecurity.

For Fernandez, repeated government announcements about the economic recovery have not been transferred to the majority of citizens, who still have to make superhuman efforts to make ends meet, the majority of young people remain unable to become independent and the quality in public services such as health and education it continues to plummet because of the continuous cuts.

On the other hand, Paco Morote, of the Platform Affected by the Mortgage, has indicated that at present in the Region eleven evictions are produced every day, that have their origin in the lack of income of the families by the high unemployment or by badly remunerated works , that do not allow to face the rents or the mortgages.

Therefore, it considers it essential that there be a confluence in this struggle of all sectors of society that suffer the effects of this economic crisis.

According to Joaquin Sanchez, the origin of the current problems comes from the financial scam that has led to the current economic crisis that has seriously damaged the most disadvantaged social classes, while wealth has been concentrated in the wealthiest classes, so that the idea of recovery that they sell us, is another one of their numerous deceptions.

He considers it fundamental that people stand up to recover hope, but for this it is essential to "fight" peacefully for having decent living conditions.

The III March against labor precariousness and unemployment will count in the Region of the following stages, at the end of which will be citizen assemblies in each of the municipalities:

1- Departure from Lorca on Friday, April 27 at 10:30 am from the Plaza de España with arrival in Totana in the afternoon.

2- Departure from Totana on April 28, stopping at Alhama de Murcia for lunch and arrival at Alcantarilla in the afternoon.

3- Sunday, April 29, departure from Alcantarilla to Librilla.
