Socialist Councillor Marisol Sanchez, announced today that his party will ask the Municipal Council of the City Council Monday comprehensively reshape the Calle Luis de Peralta and adjacent, situated in the suburb of San Diego.
Sanchez explained that these pathways converge in a number of significant deficiencies that have not been repaired over the past three years, as manifested by neighbors and merchants who live or conduct their business in the area.
Among the deficiencies, the mayor highlighted the dismal state of the sidewalks, as well as the serious problem of accessibility, resulting in the inability of disabled people who move in a wheelchair can pass through them.
There are also some steps that involve danger to pedestrians, especially for seniors.
To all this must be added the poor lighting and ancient ways and a bad general maintenance conditions that make them unattractive when, paradoxically, it is eminent streets of commercial value, since they have more than twenty small establishments.
Marisol Sanchez said that "political will and little effort for municipal coffers, could be given to those affected by the shortcomings of these streets much more worthy service."
He reminded that this area has been "marginalized" by the improvements made in areas near High Street as the Barrio de San Cristóbal and its surroundings.
