The City Council requests the Government of Spain to make a new wording of the decree that prevents the borrowing local government (26/07/2010)

The three local support groups in Parliament a motion of PP in claiming "fair and adequate funding for local government finances to maintain the level and quality of services provided for the benefit of citizens."

The Full Council of Lorca unanimously adopted a motion by popular local group which urges the Government of Spain to amend the wording of Article 14.2 of Royal Decree-Law 10/2010, which suppresses the general prohibition of debt local entities for the year 2011,

In this regard it is proposed to make a new version with the following conditions:

a) The city councils, provincial councils and Island Councils undertake to contribute to reducing the deficit and to control the growth of public debt, and therefore assume the need to control the growth of local debt, depending on the volume debt of each of them at present.

b) Taking the stock of debt of each entity to December 31, 2010, calculated according to the criteria of the excessive deficit procedure, "methodology used by the Bank of Spain and the European Central Bank, Local no can bring new investments in 2011 financed by borrowing, but they can continue to fund this action, the execution of contracts, including multi-year, which had been awarded before the entry into force of Royal Decree-Law 8 / 2010.

Improvement Plan of the District of Los Angeles
