National Paragliding Concentration offers great flight, despite the strong wind (13/09/2010)

The test for Paragliding Regional League could not be held by the weather, but did take out the National Concentration

In every edition of the Sports Games Guadalentín paragliding becomes one of the most spectacular activities, as this sport brings entertainment, adventure and equally striking.

But at the same time is also one of the sports most sensitive, since any weather disturbance can tarnish an exciting journey.

In some ways this is what happened this weekend to test Paragliding Guadalentín Sports Games as scheduled two exciting evidence.

And is that the traditional National Meeting every year is celebrated within the programming of the Games this year it added one of the most important tests of the Regional League Paragliding.

However the weather played a trick and offered crosswind gusts Levante during Saturday and Sunday, celebrating the championship, so the test had to be suspended for Paragliding Regional League, and that this competition involves flights about 4 hours and 40 miles away, making it impossible to ensure the safety of pilots by the wind.

But in spite of that evidence could be held for the XV National Meeting, so that the paraglider was present at the Sports Games and also offers spectacular flights.

Peñarrubia departing from and arriving in the arena of Complejo Deportivo de La Torrecilla, were held for testing precision, high gain, stay fly and women combined, filling the sky with Lorca paraglider in flight.

How could it be otherwise in an event organized by the Vertical and Paragliding Club IMJUDE, turnout was very high, with 47 pilots focused on Lorca during the weekend, many coming from outside our region: Barcelona, Algeciras, Almeria, Alicante and Valencia.
