From now on critically ill patients having to be moved to Murcia city will have a delay of at least three hours to be served in the Arrixaca.

The Socialist Group spokesperson and councilor of the PSOE in Lorca, Marisol Sanchez, has reported today that the Regional Government has removed the only concert that mobile ICU Hospital Rafael Méndez had to make trips to the hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca.

Sanchez warned about the abolition of the agreement that existed between the Health Service of Murcia and Lorca Ambulance Company to provide a mobile ICU hospital.

Thus, critically ill patients having to be moved to Murcia city will have a delay of at least three hours to be served in the Arrixaca.

As the mayor has been corroborated in the last two months there have been at least two cases of this type, first, the son of a doctor Rafael Mendez, affected by a very serious head injury and it took three hours and twenty minutes to be transferred to Murcia.

For Sanchez, it is situations where minutes are "crucial" to avoid a fatal outcome, so severely censured "the regional government president, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, is playing with the health and life of Lorca" .

Sanchez, also regretted the attitude of the Mayor accomplice Lorca, Francisco Jodar, which he said that "neither fears nor respects him in the regional context and accusing him of maintaining a conspiratorial silence before a decision" very serious "and that "expands the possibilities of death or permanent injury" in critically ill patients to be transferred to Murcia.

The PSOE mayor thanked the Area 3 Management of Health's efforts to prevent the abolition of hospital ICU concert and that "unfortunately, have failed to prevent this folly."

Marisol Sanchez also said that the seven ICUs that were in the region, have been maintained only in Cieza, Murcia and Cartagena and Lorca said the PSOE will fight "with all his strength" for the citizens of Lorca and the region know what is happening.

In that sense said that "if less than a week the regional government has not renewed the agreement for Lorca can again have an ICU for transfers between hospitals, we will initiate an information campaign very hard."

Marisol Sanchez said "the public must say enough to the health cuts while wasted 9 million euros to promote Formula 1 or 50 to maintain the regional television."

Straight, said "the PP can not get away with reckless decisions that could endanger the lives of any of us."
