The councilman and spokesman for Economic Affairs, PSOE, Isidro Abellán, has conditional approval today of his party to the Tax Ordinance of the City Council that the PP is committed to not raising taxes and public fees.
Abellán explained that the intention of the Mayor Francisco Jodar is up 1.8 percent basic services provided by the City such as issuance of administrative documents, pick up garbage and sewage, removal of road vehicles or use the deposit municipal as well as the price for the use of sports facilities, the school of music or visual arts, popular universities, or public parking.
In addition to the fees and public prices, also the water bill will rise by 2%.
To Abellán these prices should "freeze" or "even lower" given the economic situation in many families Lorca unemployed.
The Socialist leader also made special mention of the tax bill which he said is growing at around 10% each year, what he called "huge."
In that sense, Abellán said that the City "can and must" provide a solution.
To do so, requested that the PP government team lowers the tax rate applied to assessed values of properties so that the IBI does not change its value until the minimum rate permitted.
According Abellán this measure would imply a reduction of up to 40% in the concept.
