Promuevenn risk prevention among 1,100 students in 5 of primary schools in the county with the campaign grows in security " (27/10/2010)

The Councillor for Education, José Joaquín Peñarrubia, the director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Tomas Perez, and Vice President of UCOMUR, Ana Sanchez, presented this issue of these talks and the contest in which the jury awarded 15 prizes to best drawings submitted, 5 more than last year.

The topics covered are related to the risks that can happen to the school, such as burns, falls, electrical hazards, contact with toxic chemicals, cuts in others.

The council has stressed that "this activity dissemination of prevention, we hope that from the smaller ages, know the habits of safe and healthy, and know how to act in schools, parks, even in their homes."

Furthermore, she added that "this work is performed on the three key areas of socialization of children: school, family and neighborhood."

For its part, the director Tomas Perez has stressed that what they want, since the campaign began three years ago, is to accustom children to act knowing that there are risks and ensure that their actions are so healthy, safe and healthy.

Under this program will be held talks completely voluntary and free targeted teachers and students.

Thus will inform teachers and tutors of the project content and provide them with the information necessary for the resolution of any issues that may arise students.

In addition, each participating teacher will receive a teaching dossier, which contains a CD guide to the contents to work, case studies, instructions for conducting a mock emergency evacuation in schools, and a satisfaction questionnaire that once the campaign sent to the Institute.

For their part, talks to students will last approximately 60 minutes, and in the course of these will be presented to the students participating the project "Security Grows" which will develop preventive issues.

In addition, each student will receive a CD with content to work in the campaign, as well as a comic, who very visual training includes all aspects of the campaign.

CONTEST

Also, traditional and organized a drawing contest in the second quarter of the school calendar, where you can choose, on a local stage, 15 awards, representing an increase of 5 over last year.

These awards will be a digital camera for the first four, five and mp4 for the following six lots of books.

The drawings must be in A4 size using any pictorial technique, with the theme of the exhibition "Growing Security."

Each student may submit only one work.

The winning entries will be exhibited at City Hall in order to be able to visit by the trainers are citizens of the municipality.

Finally, Perez pointed out that this initiative is part of the 4 th Occupational Hazard Plan 2008-2012, which aims to reach the entire society of Murcia.
