The Governing Council has authorized the Ministry of Universities, Business and Research allocated a total of 250,000 euros in addition to the regular funding of investments for the acquisition of innovative teaching equipment for the Campus Universitario de Lorca.
This budget will be spent on acquisition of next-generation computers, interactive whiteboards and innovative software for teaching and practical training.
It also allows access to virtual library of the University of Murcia and Cartagena University and the package of services, via the network, offer two public universities to students in their schools: teachers' information and academic organization query records, applying for scholarships and grants and requests for services to the university community.
Campus Universitario de Lorca is a pioneer in Spain in the application of new technologies in joint teaching certificates and college vocational training within the health area.
This multidisciplinary campus promoted by the Government contributes Murcia added to the Campus of Excellence project Mare Nostrum, which brings the two public universities, research centers, technology centers, Scientific and Technological Parks, as well as major hospitals in Murcia, in order to promote science, research, innovation and knowledge transfer to the productive sectors.
