The City Council building to allow landowners who lose meters on the public works (28/01/2011)

This is an agreement that aims to overcome the reluctance of owners when land lease.

Applies retroactively, so that will benefit all those affected by assignments or appropriated since 2003, subject to compliance with minimum plot and the surface to remain in their possession exceeds 2,500 m² garden area and 10,000 m² undeveloped land

The Town Planning, Francisco Garcia, Municipal Works and Services, Angel Mecca, have reported that the Urban Area of the City of Lorca has adopted a standard that enables owners of parcels of land they have to give a few meters to extension of roads or other infrastructure, or are subject to expropriation for the implementation of roads or other large infrastructure projects, to continue building on their land even if the transfer or expropriation had lost the status of minimum plot to build.

This agreement has been adopted by Urban Angel at the proposal of Councillor Mecca for Agriculture, Rural Development, Works and Services of the Municipality of Lorca, since it is his Department, which oversees municipal works, and Planning are found repeatedly with the reluctance of many owners to give the meters needed to expand a road or run a roundabout.

With this resolution adopted by the City Council solves this problem and the assignment of a few meters or expropriation will not guarantee that the owner of that parcel and can not build because the plot happens to have less than 5,000 m² in the garden or 20,000 m² on undeveloped land.

Subject to compliance with minimum plot and the surface to remain in their possession exceeds 2,500 m² garden area and 10,000 m² on undeveloped land, homeowners have ceded land for infrastructure have been expropriated by any administration, may continue to build the buildings and facilities that the General Plan allows.

This measure also applies retroactively to those owners who have already given meters or have been expropriated from the final approval of the existing General Urban Plan, approval was made in 2003.

A good measure will certainly facilitate the implementation of new works on all authorities and will not cause serious harm to citizens affected by the extension of roads or infrastructure, as was the case until now.

A measure of strict justice it was unfair that people should lose or give up a few meters could not build their homes, agricultural buildings and livestock or segregate their plots.

Is thus eliminated one of the biggest obstacles to improving our extensive network of roads and infrastructure in Lorca.
