Failed auction of the 19 parking spaces the City (17/02/2011)

The City Council announced it would put on sale a total of 19 parking spaces and you would get an income of 396,380 euros.

Following the procedure, only seven have been sold, only 36% of schedule.

The government team of PP in Lorca has once again show its terrible financial and property management.

Late last year, the finance council, Antonio Ibarra, announced that they had "appeared" 19 parking spaces, owned by the municipality of Lorca that "not known to exist."

Immediately showed that they were all duly deeded in the name of the City and that the attorney had been managing during the current mandate Jódar Francisco.

Besides this, there is the fact that two of them are located in a building managed by a company's own Ibarra should have known that the relationship between owners include the consistory.

To make matters worse, after it has been known that ten more parking spaces, those in Residencial La Quinta, also administered by the same company Councilman Hacienda del PP.

Ibarra himself announced that the City would almost 400,000 euros from the sale of these 19 parking spaces.

However, once the procedure and as stated in the agreement of Local Government dated 11 February, has sold only 7 of them, only 36% of total revenues were obtained 164,612.50 euros much lower than expected.

Of the seven sold, two are the building Lorcasol and five on the Puerta del Sol building, running out to sell two of the latter and the ten of Residential La Quinta.

The PSOE say that this is another example of the failure in economic management by the municipal government team of PP and the lack of credibility of the council of finance.

For the Socialists, is increasing the 'hole' in city coffers because, among other issues, "Ibarra is unable to obtain the necessary financial resources to fund municipal spending."

Mixing public with private

The PSOE also call for respect for rules on incompatibility of the Senior Officers, as they could be infringed.

In fact, as stated in the Local Government Board on 14 January, a company of Antonio Ibarra asked the council to pay the community fees for the ten parking spaces owned by the consistory.

In the same statement, the council proposed to the Governing Board to pay your own company.
