The Department of Health of the Municipality of Lorca in 2010 increased 7% health inspections from 2009 (04/03/2011)

Antonia Lopez reported that among the cases detected in recent months include three nurseries and two illegal activities illegal supply.

The Councillor for Health of the City of Lorca, Antonia Lopez, reported that this area has increased by 7% municipal sanitary inspections in 2010 compared to 2009.

Lopez explained that "the frequent inspection cases are due to inadequate sanitary conditions of houses, lots and other public places, rodents, cockroaches and other groups. Specifically, among the actions taken include the detection of three care homes illegal individuals without meeting any requirements or those established in the Law on General Education System (LOGSE), or health or infrastructure. Two of them were detected in January 2011 and were located in the center of the city while another was located in a district and was detected in mid-2010. "

Similarly, in the Barrio de San Cristóbal were discovered two cases of illegal activities at a low power and a particular trade, which poses a risk to public health.

In particular there were reports of a low where they were preparing bakery products for resale to the public without adequate sanitary conditions and lack of permits and approvals required for this purpose.

Antonia Lopez explained that in 2010 increased substantially the controls and actions to safeguard the rights and health of Lorca, as citizens filed 253 complaints, and inspectors have had a greater presence in the streets and businesses, increasing also 76 joint inspections with the Ministry of Health, including school feeding and health, sweet shops, supermarkets, fishmongers, food retailers, cafes, bars and restaurants, among others. "

2,161 birds collected

Other outstanding performances of this council is the presence of pigeons by a bird of easy reproduction and deteriorating buildings and other urban environment, for which studies were conducted population density for the installation of cages capture at strategic points.
