The City Council will set up a new green space and street entertainment district Apolonia Transformer for use and enjoyment of all residents (08/03/2011)

The mayor noted that the full City Council has already taken steps to proceed with the expropriation of land on the aforementioned street.

It was a personal commitment of the mayor with the neighbors.

Lorca's mayor, Francisco Jodar, along with the Town Planning, Francisco Garcia, and Development Cooperation, Mari Carmen Ruiz, has reported that neighbors of Apollonia have a new green zone will be located on the street transformer .

The mayor explained that to this end the city council approved a motion last fully included in the agenda in order to begin the process of expropriation of a plot situated at Transformer, which will be exploited for use as recreation area for residents.

The site in question has 622 m2, and is considered within the General Plan and Municipal Management "space."

The mayor has stated that "the neighbors we had shown the need for the refurbishment of a green area of strategic location on the street transformer, which will serve for the use and enjoyment of residents. The reference is determined because the area does not space is available free of this type, a situation which solution we expropriation of the land to be earmarked for green space.
