The Parkinson Association of Lorca organized a conference open on April 11, World Day of the disease (04/04/2011)

In the new Centre for People with Parkinson Care are developing workshops memory, cognitive stimulation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, family support groups, as well as social, psychological and administrative.

The City Councillor for NGO Lorca, Mari Carmen Ruiz, and President of the Parkinson Association of Lorca, Maruja García, presented this morning the activities that this group has organized to mark the World Day of the disease, which is held on 11 April.

Specifically, citizens may participate in a conference open the new headquarters of the Association Guadalentín River Street, near the barracks of the Guardia Civil, which has been made possible through the collaboration of the Municipality of Lorca and the Government Regional.

From 10 am on Lorca and Lorca may visit this new store, which represents an investment of 90,000 euros, provided by the CARM, while Hall has provided the building that hosts this service.

Ruiz has highlighted the work being done by the group which owns the Parkinson Association Lorca, "this is a very necessary that this entity is providing since its inception in 2002. This new facility, which the City Council have been working for several years, addresses a historical claim. "

Today this partnership brings together 200 members, and directly benefits more than 30 patients, who take advantage of the activities organized by the entity.
