The full City Council unanimously approved Lorca Regulation Public Participation (14/04/2011)

The Mayor, Francisco Jodar, has congratulated the three municipal groups to facilitate consensus and collective citizen information and participation in political decisions of the Council.

The full City Council initially approved Lorca unanimously Organic Regulations for Citizen Participation, which regulates the right to information, public hearing, the right of popular initiative and citizen, the citizen's proposal and the right to public consultation, that of petition and participation of local residents and civic organizations in the bodies of the City.

This new regulation provides additional right of participation of residents in the design of public policies, the creation of the Special Committee on Claims and Suggestions for the rights of neighbors.
