The Governing Council has approved in its session today Friday, May 20, held in the town of Lorca, an Institutional Declaration of gratitude to many individuals, organizations and institutions are working from the first moment to help the residents of this town , badly damaged by the effects of earthquakes that occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday 11 May.
The regional government wants to have a memory for the victims and their families and to those injured in the quake, and a very special thank to all the strength Lorca shown to the disaster.
Murcia Government recognizes the personal and collective courage of the citizens of Lorca, in the midst of pain, destruction, fear and uncertainty, have remained calm.
The Government of the Region of Murcia wants to publicly thank the work since the first time are developing effective emergency all involved in the management of this catastrophe.
Also appreciates the many expressions of solidarity with Lorca, arrivals from all corners, and collaboration are paying institutions, agencies, organizations, associations, social groups, businesses and individuals.
