The Local Government gives green light to new disbursement amounting to 20,430 euros to facilitate the rent to families with fewer resources, in addition to previously announced targets for donations

Spokesman of the Communication of the City Municipal de Lorca, Francisco Garcia, has been reported that the city council has approved through the Local Government a new battery of 17 advances repayable on Lorca that many families have lost their homes because of earthquake of May 11.

These survivors will receive amounts ranging from 300 to 1,500 euros, according to the needs expressed by each citizen.

The package approved today will advance an amount of 20,430 euros that will be anticipated by funds from donations and benefits of solidarity events managed by the Bureau for Development and channels, and add to the 111,000 euros already granted.

Garcia noted that with these advances, the Mayor proposed by the Bureau for Development and approved unanimously, provides an initial assistance to those who have lost their homes and have no financial means to meet the payment of rent and also not have another home in which to reside.

The amount families are expected to correspond to the payment of the initial costs to access the lease of a dwelling, such as deposit or bond, the first monthly expenses and estate management.

Communication Spokesperson has stated that to date have benefited from these advances repayable on a total of 101 families Lorca, assuming a global economic amount estimated at 131,430 euros.

Francisco Garcia recalled that the requirements for accessing these are non-returnable advances have habitable housing, lack of sufficient financial means to rent housing until resolution of the request for rental assistance made to the Directorate General of Land and Housing in the Region Murcia, have an income threshold of € 1,300 family unit, have requested assistance for repair or reconstruction of the residence, and once resolved the application file for rental assistance, the beneficiaries of refundable advance commit the full repayment of the loan amount, so that they can benefit others affected.

In this sense, Garcia said today that the approved amount is subtracted from income 1,671,449.52 euros in the accounts of the City of solidarity, so that the committed expenditure of these donations is around 1,551,430 euros, representing a 92 , 82%, since the advances made are joined by at least 880,000 euros that will deal with aid of between 800 and 1,500 euros that will apply from Monday at the Cultural Center for families who have lost their housing earthquakes, some 500,000 euros for the Plan to Promote Trade, and at least 39,369 euros to cover the urgent needs of the families of those killed and seriously injured.
