The Centre of Attention to Victims of Violence Lorca 247 women attended the first half of the year (26/08/2011)

The CAVI has been serving users of 17 nationalities, which virtually match the proportions of the global population of the municipality, the majority of users of this comprehensive support center for victims of violence are Spanish (a 73.68%); behind which lie the Ecuadorian (11.74%), Moroccan (6.48%) and Bolivian (2.02%).

To a lesser extent also received Argentinean and Colombian women, and a user Brazilian, Bulgarian, Dominican, Israeli, Mexican, Nicaraguan, Nigerian, Peruvian, Polish, Romanian and Russian.

From these data show a significant increase in attention to women aged between 41 and 50 years, growing by 16 points, along with an increase of more than 11 points in the care of women aged between 51 and 60.

"These data continue to reflect the change in the mentality of women to break the silence and demand help for the problem of gender violence," says Ibarra.

CAVI 38 users of the Service Orientation used Labora

The Women's mayor has emphasized that in the first half of 2011 38 of the users of the service used CAVI Employment Guidance offered by the Service Center victims through an agreement with the Regional Employment Service.

In another development, the council has explained that between January and July this year has released five new women in the service of mobile teleprotection for women victims of gender violence.

"This is a free service for women run by the Department, which provides women with protection order or restraining immediate attention, ensuring a rapid response to contingencies that may befall them, because they have a GPS locator service, "says Ibarra.

Councilwoman Women stressed that through this service also provides counseling for 24 hours 365 days a year.
