The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Director General of Commerce of the Autonomous Community, Maria Dolores Lorca Alarcón, inaugurated this morning the new Plaza de Abastos, replacing what was damaged by the May 11 earthquake, and since today is located in the lower commercial buildings 3 and 5 of the Alameda de Cervantes, in which stood the ancient Mediterranean supermarket.

The new food market will be open Monday through Friday from 8 to 14:00 and 18:00 to 21:00 hours and Saturday mornings only until 15:00.
