The Delegation of the government in Murcia has reiterated its commitment to economic and willingness to collaborate with local and regional equity for the recovery of Lorca's culture affected by the earthquake on May 11.

The clear demonstration of that commitment has been expressed in developing and financing a third of the Recovery Plan for the Cultural Heritage of Lorca, equivalent to 17 million euros, which will restore the city's iconic landmarks within a period not exceeding five years.

Among them is the church of San Antonio, the Palace of Guevara, or the Archaeological Museum.

To this must be added the Ministry of Development's investment to recover, the amount of 970,000 euros the church of San Mateo, as well as 1.1 million euros from the Ministry of Culture to repair damage from the Tower of RAM.

The Government Office has also stated that the recovery of assets must break away from emergency aid, to safeguard the safety and lives of people and whose fate is legally regulated in Spain.

In this regard, reiterated its full willingness to cooperate with Lorca for their heritage value and is put back as a national benchmark, without entailing a loss of legality in force in Spain.

Therefore, ensure that the Church might have with other government aid it needs to restore its architectural heritage and that public money is used with the criteria and controls that apply to the entire Spanish State.
