Councilman Works and City Council Municipal Services Lorca, Angel Mecca, has reported that the special lighting device is installed on the occasion of the Fair and Festivals of the city will not cost a single euro to Lorca.

Mecca said that the City Council have made the necessary arrangements with the company that had been installing this type of lighting in previous editions of the Fair for this year, given the special circumstances arising from the earthquake of May 11, Fair and Festivals of Lorca have the same illumination at zero cost.

In this sense the Consistory want to thank the people that have found by the installation company of this device, Elecfes Illuminations, which has said it will carry out this service without any financial compensation because he wants to collaborate in this way with the population and the city of Lorca, with whom we have passed that unites them a great sense of solidarity in these difficult times in which we are working hard on the recovery of the city.

Angel Meca has indicated that the lighting for the show, which has already been installed, it will be the same as was last year, noting that it is all made up of LED lights, assuming a significant reduction in energy consumption, namely 80% over conventional lighting.

This is an example of the firm commitment by the City to contribute to the reduction of energy consumption, as to which we are committed through the implementation and development of the proposals set out in the framework of Local Agenda 21 .

Councilman Works has detailed special lighting device will have a total of 258 reasons.

The distribution of these includes the installation of a porch in the area of ​​access to the fairgrounds in Santa Clara Avenue, which will be complemented with a representation of the shield of the city.

In the space between the roundabout at the fair until access to the site of Santa Clara is located a battery of 5 arches between 7 and 9 meters in length, while the existing roundabout opposite the main entrance to the Garden Wheel lighting has been installed consisting of 150 motifs, consisting of a wreath with 3 spectacular tent-shaped heads suspended.

This will be accompanied also by a double portico in the main entrance to the site.

The approximate cost of this facility would have been a total expenditure estimated at 7902.09 euros to Lorca.
