The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, trumpeted on the evening of Wednesday the feast of the Andalusian city of Vera, twinned with Lorca.
Jódar accepted the invitation of José Carmelo Jorge Blasco, Mayor veratense, and made a proclamation in which he highlighted the ties between the two cities and the pages of our common past between the two neighboring towns and sisters.
The reading of the proclamation was held to mark the start of the holidays Vera, and the traditional chupinazo launched from the fairgrounds of The Palm.
Mayor Vera was responsible for providing Jodar, who praised his political and human quality.
After reading the proclamation, Jódar participated in the election of the Queen of the Fiestas de Vera.
