The aid approved by the City Council to assist families affected by earthquakes and reach 751 (27/09/2011)

The Spokesman of the Communication of the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, has been reported that the city council has approved a new set of aid to families who have been lorquina hardest hit by the earthquake of May 11.

Jódar Ruiz explained that the Local Government Board has given approval at the meeting that took place this morning at an aid package which is an economic pillar of € 67,120.

The aid that are diversified into three strands: on the one hand it has approved a budget of 53,700 euros in aid for basic needs that will directly benefit a total of 48 families who have lost Lorca housing because of earthquakes.

This is aid which amounts to 48 per household will receive € 1,500 for four or more members, € 1,000 for households with 3 members and 800 € for households of 2 or 1 member.

Communication Spokesperson said that the second line of action aid battery approved by the Local Government focuses on the provision of repayable advances to facilitate access to rental housing.

In this sense it has given its approval to a total of 8 advances that benefit many families Lorca, assuming a lump sum of 10,020 euros.

In a third section contains aid to care for injuries caused by earthquakes.

In this connection two cases have been approved for a total amount of 3,400 euros.

Maria del Carmen Ruiz said that the City Council of Lorca, with the aid package approved this morning, has been allocated more than € 830,821 in direct payments to Lorca who have lost their homes.

In concrete terms, 751 families in our municipality benefit from the aid.

Jódar Ruiz pointed out that along with the 830,821 euros already approved for these grants and advances, others remain reserved € 482,880 as a forecast of new applications to benefit those who have lost their residence, and an amount of 500,000 euros for the Plan to Promote Commerce, whose efforts were detailed in yesterday.

The money from these grants and advances come from the funds of the Solidarity Committee, which unanimously approved the implementation of these proposals.
