Lorca welcomes the Assembly of the Spanish Association of Regional Development Agencies (10/10/2011)

The Minister of Universities, Companies and Research, José Ballesta, opened today in Lorca with the director of the Instituto de Fomento (Info), Juan Hernandez, the Eleventh Annual Meeting of the Spanish Association of Regional Development Agencies (RDA), "the reference European and Latin American co-operation between public bodies to promote and support entrepreneurship. To date ten forums were held in cities such as Valencia, Oviedo, Seville and Valladolid.

The first one took place in Murcia in 2001 and ten years later the Assembly returns to the region, but this time in Lorca.

During this Assembly will sign the accession protocol of cooperation and Latin American agencies to the Spanish Association with the aim of strengthening the already established networks, sponsoring exchange programs, for support of programs for Spanish Agency for International Development ( AECI) and the European Commission.

One strategy of the Spanish Association is the Promotion Plan 2011-2014, which aims to deepen relations between entities, creating online businesses and strengthening of ADR, the consolidation of Ibero-American networks, specialized training and exchange and communication and information.

"The regional development agencies are part of the solution, with excellent professional teams, their knowledge of economic reality of our regions and business resilience," said José Ballesta.
