Lorca's neighbors can be enjoyed from this night of a modern municipal sports center (03/02/2012)

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Director General of Sport of the Autonomous Community, Antonio Penalver, inaugurate the new equipment represents an investment of 800,000 euros financed by the Regional Government.

The 3,800 residents of La Hoya will enjoy from this night of a modern municipal sports center will open today the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Director General of Sports of the Autonomous Community, Antonio Penalver, accompanied by the First Deputy Mayor of the City Lorca, Francisco Montiel, the Councillor for Sports, Augustine calls, and the mayor in charge of this parish, Antonia Lopez.

This new equipment represents an investment of EUR 800,000 and was funded entirely by the region through the Directorate General of Physical Activity and Sport.

This new sports facility is a sports hall of 30 x 48 meters, enabled and marked for playing basketball, football, handball, volleyball and badminton, in center court as three cross-purposes.

The facility also has extra bleachers for 150 spectators and is equipped with 6 changing rooms (4 for equipment and 2 for referees), reception, 2 parts of toilets, store room and cleaning material.

Stresses also that the pavement is a synthetic sports floor of 4.5 millimeters thick, with a bottom layer moisture of 1, 5 mm.

The pavilion will be used among other groups of students of the College of Education and Primary Juan Navarro in the mornings and evenings, by the various local sports clubs and users who so wish, with the schedule open Monday to Friday from 17:00 to 23:30 h.

and Saturday from 9:00 to 14:00 h.

and 17:00 to 21:00 h.

With the opening of the new pavilion, Lorca raises the extensive network of sports facilities, of which over 30 were improved by the City in the last four years.

This extensive and comprehensive network of sports facilities in the near future will join the launch of the Centre for High Performance Beach Volleyball and Soccer City de la Hoya.

Francisco Jodar has stressed that "this is another example of the commitment by the City of Lorca and the Regional Government to improve the facilities of the districts and particularly Lorca La Hoya, who in the past four years has been equipped with a municipal library, a territorial security center, school, comprehensive center services to citizens (the house of partnerships, stop, ...).
