The Minister for Universities and Research Company, José Ballesta, today chaired by the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, the Bureau for the Standardization of Trade Facilitation and the municipality, responsible for bringing together the regional government, local Chamber of Lorca Trade and Regional Confederation of Business Organizations (Ceclor), with the aim of promoting behavior, such as attracting foreign investments that generate wealth and employment in the municipality.
In this line, was presented the Action Plan Investment Study Lorca, designed to identify key factors in attracting investment capital and analyze the situation in the region of face to revitalize its economy.
Among the actions for improvement that includes the plan is increasing the budget on research and development, promotion of institutional relations, the promotion of training specifically related to the food industry, the creation of a 'cluster' livestock modernization of farms, as well as aid for implementation of plans to improve energy efficiency in order to encourage the development of a business network related to efficiency and renewables.
In the words of counsel "the highest priority for the reconstruction of Lorca, outside the scope of public support, is attracting investments to the city have an established business network and generate wealth and quality jobs."
In this line, was presented to the Bureau a Russian equity transaction involved the investment of seven million euros.
This new industry dedicated to the manufacture of leather, to start operating next month, and early in 2013 will reach its highest volume of production, you will need to employ some fifty workers.
Guide to Grants for the Revitalization of Business Activity
The Minister presented the 'Guide to Grants for the Revitalisation of Business in Lorca', prepared by the Ministry in collaboration with other institutions that are part of the Bureau, which lists all the financial incentives and legislative changes put marches so far by the various governments.
According to José Ballesta, "This publication has been prepared to facilitate the access of the victims of the earthquakes to these grants, subsidies, loans, tax deductions and exemptions, simplifying its contents to make them more accessible to citizens."
Thus, the guide classifies these measures according to their type: financial aid and trade and industry, designed to promote tourism and restore cultural heritage of the municipality, the measures of labor and social security, tariff and the tax.
Key initiatives to promote economic and social revival in Lorca, the Act adopted by the Regional Assembly of the Popular Group proposal that establishes a tax law based pioneer in reducing the taxes of the Community to all those affected by earthquakes .
The guide also includes the exceptional new aid package, amounting to 2.6 million, established between the central and regional government for the recovery of trade in the town, a credit line with the Official Credit Institute to encourage tourism, a recovery program for cultural heritage or the perceived benefits for unemployment benefits and allowances of the Wage Guarantee Fund.
The counselor influenced the importance of achieving "unity and consensus among governments to join forces for Lorca" and recalled that "we must find solutions to a problem state record, and that despite efforts much remains way for full normalization of the municipality. "
