What about Lorca?, A different documentary (26/02/2012)

What about Lorca?

is the first short documentary about the situation they are living for people affected by the earthquake in Lorca's May 11, in which the protagonists are the citizens themselves, who tell their stories, but as the director herself said: "This is only a summary report of all that. "

Since that date, when an earthquake shook the city, at 18:47 pm with a magnitude of 5.1 degrees on the scale of seismic moment magnitude (MW), go by the weeks, months ...

and the promises made to help streamline Lorca and bureaucratic issues that all back to normal as soon as possible, seems to go slower than expected.

It's been 9 months and the vast majority of people affected has not received any help.

It seems that politicians, once past promises for the elections have already been forgotten Lorca.

Precisely for this reason, citizens are asking "What about Lorca?".

Hence the title of this short documentary by Mari Trini Giner, a young journalist Lorca, 22, who lives in Madrid.

Although Mari Trini has worked in other audiovisual works, this is his first short film, which has recorded and assembled her own, applying the knowledge acquired during his short but active career and following his own judgment, made this short documentary critical of the fact short but intense for Notodofilmfest festival where we can see this film, for all we need an Internet connection.

In just over 3 minutes, the sample journalistic work very closely, the lack of support for the rent of people who have lost their homes, how far are able to get some Lorca have been left homeless ...

However, it reflects only the situation of some citizens, while in many more cases Lorca: immigrants who have no family, merchants have run out of space to sell their products and therefore no income with which to continue life, children have to travel far from where they live to continue with their studies, ...

All these stories and some more, we see reflected in the documentary more extended than the same director of this, Mari Trini Giner, is preparing.

To do this, hoping to get some help and end "best, with a good quality picture and sound even better than this."

Mari Trini confesses that it was hard to hear the statements of some of these people and makes it clear: "What about Lorca?

is like a movie trailer.

My original idea was to make a documentary and not more widespread abandonment.

I always wanted to participate with their own work in this festival, Notodofilmfest and although at first thought that I would not allow time to complete, in a position, a job, to see that extended the deadline, I decided to watch all the material was recorded each time I went to Lorca during these months, edited it and this has been the result.

I hope to get some funding to expand it as I wish.

I have so much material already recorded but we are not there, there's a post-production process for which I would like to have a better team than I have and more people.

Besides Lorca again to record some more interview.

This short film I've self-financed, ie, the cost to me of course, have come from my own pocket.

Could say to make me come at a cost of 0 € would be very good as a starter yet, you could say it has cost me € 3,000 valuing only what it costs the computer with which I mounted, cameras and microphones which I recorded, memory cards, hard drives, gasoline displacement by Lorca, travel from Madrid to Lorca and from Madrid ...

so I can not say I did a documentary with 0 € and saying so, not even he created it.

That if I expect at least this humble work, I've put a lot of love, serve something, either to show that 9 months later, we still remembering Lorca, for people affected, find support and / or to mobilize those who have the power to really facilitate and expedite all necessary bureaucratic processes so that people can at least have a place to live.
