The City of Lorca rehabilitation Municipal Nursery School to be opened the next school year (18/04/2012)

Banco Santander offers € 115,000 to carry out the repair of damage caused by earthquakes of May 11 at the facility at that time was about to open.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, this morning visited the rehabilitation works of the damage caused by the earthquakes of May 11 in the first Municipal Nursery School, located in the vicinity of the Alameda de Cervantes and the District of San Fernando.

Jodar explained that the arrangement of these facilities is being made possible through the sponsorship of Banco Santander, which provides more than 115,000 euros for this function, within the collaboration agreement which has provided 500,000 euros for three reclamation projects after Lorca earthquakes.

"A few days ago we visited the works to completion of the library that also sponsors this financial institution, today we can see how this work progresses Municipal Nursery School, the only one in town, so you can open the next school year" said the mayor-

Francisco Jodar has indicated that "since March are running those works, which employ 15 Lorca taken unemployment from 6 masons, 3 painters, 2 plasterers, two carpenters, an electrician and a locksmith.

The works being carried out in this new equipment that was about to open when the earthquake occurred, include the repair of cracks and crevices indoors, kitchen tiles and toilets, as well as removable plaster ceilings, as well as replacement of ceiling luminaires, restitution of brick and plaster on the facade and paint the whole place.

"With these actions will achieve that Lorca has at last with their first Municipal Nursery School, whose management will be provided by a cooperative made up of personnel Lorca, which will employ at least 7 technical educators and teacher, from which teach the first cycle of primary education, "added the mayor.

Thus, this space will feature 6 educational rooms for students, kitchen, multipurpose room, cafeteria, playground, toilets for each classroom, spaces for management, administration and staff room, which will be fitted after the conclusion works.

So for the next course, we offer 106 spaces in this new infrastructure that education is a milestone for our municipality.

Specifically, will be 26 places for children aged 1 to 2 years in two classes, and 80 for boys and girls from 2 to 3 years, a total of 4 classes.

To do this, between May and June the Ministry of Education opened the registration period to meet these educational places.
