The Bursar "Mamre" Lorca is recognized by the Hearts Caritas for their assistance to families affected by earthquakes (08/06/2012)

The Social Bursar "Mamre" city of Lorca, will this afternoon at the ceremony for the Hearts Caritas 2012, an award for its work in assisting the victims of earthquakes this year.

This event will take place in the Hall of the Auditorium of the University of Murcia, at eight o'clock.

This project, funded through the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Bishop D.

Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, nonprofit and run by Caritas, was inaugurated last January 11 in order to assist families affected by earthquakes.

About thirty volunteers come two days a week to the Treasurer of altruistic and faithful in order to collaborate with this project that saw the light thanks to the generosity of many.

We must remember that from the beginning, the commission created by the Bishop for the Equitable Distribution of Aids Solidarity (DEAS), the Treasurer agreed that those affected by earthquakes of each product will pay 30% of the RRP, defraying the Treasurer the remaining 70%.

According to recent data collected from the Diocese of Cartagena, the number of families served from the Treasurer has increased steadily each month, almost doubling.

Last May, 216 families were helped, and probably this June reached 500.

These 216 families are composed 752 people, of which 38 are children under 10 years, requiring a separate power to the oldest.

Of these, 200 are Spanish families, 13 are Ecuadorian, two Moroccans and a Romanian.

All of them are suffering the consequences of the disaster which occurred on 11 May 2011.

According to information obtained, a family of four making a purchase of $ 200, pay only 60 euros.

The remaining $ 140 paid by the Commissary of the diocese.

Likewise, a family of ten members who make a purchase of $ 500, only have to pay 150 euros, taking responsibility for the Commissary of the other 350 euros.

Regarding the sale of products last May have been 20,000 products sold in the Commissary "Mamre".

To date, it has spent on food and hygiene a total of 83,871 euros, of which families have paid lorquinas 17.

170 euros.

The nearly 67,000 euros have been paid by other funds for this project.

This venue, located in Fuente Alamo Street Crossing, in the neighborhood of San Diego de Lorca, is open Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 20:00 during the winter and from nine to noon on July and August.

In the future, soon, is likely to have to open the Bursar a day each week, given the growing number of families that are watching it benefited from this project.
