IU-Green claims that "the illegal sale of water and Colonels Ortillo causes shortage of human consumption" (12/06/2012)

The IU-Green councilors, José García Murcia and Pedro Sosa, accompanied by representatives of the residents of these districts, of which he was vice president of the Travel Agencies of Ortillo have reported severe water restrictions that are suffering in areas Ortillo rural and colonels as a result of illegal and fraudulent sale of water from coming Tirieza catering to locals for decades.

Since political education have reported this issue several times, doubly serious, especially the lack of access to a good neighborhood staple for subsistence as drinking water, and secondly, the responsibility of the Department of Water and Environment on this issue, because even being familiar with the matter, it arbitrates the appropriate mechanisms for its resolution, allowing the continuation of a serious situation and illegality.

According to the council, the problem is the fraudulent use is made of water, giving priority to agricultural and livestock consumption over human, so that according to information available to IU-Green, a pig farm in the parish property of an individual, is consuming too much supply leaving the population.

The IU-Green councilors have called for the immediate review of the management system of the various branches of distribution of water from the spring of Tirieza, dating from 1984 and based in neighborhood management, and specifically in the branch Ortillo and Colonels, which subsequently took over the company Aguas de Lorca, the City Council, senior partner of the company Aguas de Lorca, requiring clarification of the situation that exists and an immediate solution.

They noted that the "solution" offered Councilman water, livestock and environment, D.

Melchor Morales has been filled with rainwater tank, which extended indefinitely the solution and perpetuates the problem with the locals, especially the arrival of summer times, allowing the mismanagement of the resource on behalf of individuals and detriment of all the neighbors.

Meanwhile, residents have emphasized the occurrence of the problem recurring year after year and claim the company Aguas de Lorca, which manages and collects the water consumption in that area, a final settlement.
