The Special Employment Plan allows Lorca hiring 275 unemployed and recovery of many public spaces (26/06/2012)

The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Constantine Sotoca today presented diplomas to the workers who participated in the Special Employment Plan launched by the Community following the earthquakes that struck the town of Lorca last year.

A plan, Sotoca stressed that "has had almost four million euros of investment and has allowed the hiring of 275 unemployed for the recovery of many public places that were damaged."

These grants have been framed in the Local Public Employment programs, through which it has hired 225 unemployed and employment workshops in Phoenix I and II, in which 50 students continue to work until the end of the year.

The Job Holder recalled that in total, has acted on over 50 agencies, including local social, libraries, care dependency, clinics or gyms, and highlighted the different profiles that have been required to address all performances, ranging from plumbers, masons, carpenters, or locksmith for the rehabilitation and repair of damaged municipal infrastructure, such as lawyers, architects, or social workers, administrative management, valuation and technical direction and assistance to families affected.

The Minister was pleased with the work done in the framework of a plan, "has undoubtedly been an opportunity for many unemployed Lorca, in very difficult circumstances to the municipality."

Thus, stressed the economic effort being made by the regional government to mitigate the effects of the earthquake, and reiterated its commitment to continue working with the same intensity in the recovery of all assets affected.
