The works are in progress and have a budget of 306,000 euros
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning is working on the rehabilitation works for the RM-701 road that connects the villages of the right bank of the river Guadalentín from Lorca (Parish, baths Fuensanta Tirieza).
The said road was affected by the earthquake last year with rock falls on the road slope and the deterioration of his firm to the point that we had to cut the traffic to avoid risks to users.
The CEO of Carreteas Jose Guijarro, reported that the works being carried out consist of cleaning and landslides and silting, the profiling of the bottom of the slopes.
Furthermore, it is proceeding to demolition and removal of all unstable boulders and anchored the other, as well as the installation of protective barriers capable of absorbing dynamic future landslides.
The road RM-701 is a second level that has a traffic of more than 1,000 average daily vehicles, with 3.8 percent of heavy vehicles.
José Guijarro reported that the works, which are running, have a budget of 306,037 euros.
Later, after completion of the protection measures, shall be the replacement of deteriorated firm amounting to 289,922 euros.
