3175 Lorca students receive training in road safety campaign within the institutes (27/08/2012)

This is an initiative that includes educational sessions in all HEIs in our town, a total of 11.

Includes tips on bicycle and motorcycle traffic, how to act in case of accidents and school bus rules.

The Public Safety Councillor City of Lorca, Maria Belen Perez reported that the city council will launch the campaign "Road Safety Education in Colleges and Secondary Education in 2012."

Pérez Martínez explained that this is an initiative for students pursuing 1st and 3rd of ESO in our municipality, and whose aim is to improve road safety for children, concienciándoles of the importance of traffic rules and knowledge, as well as developing appropriate behavioral habits to prevent accidents or minimize these effects, especially for the life and health of people.

The campaign, coordinated by the Head of the Administrative Security Unit of the local police, Jose Juan Cantos, involves the participation of all existing institutes in the town of Lorca, a total of 11, bringing together 2,075 students.

Security The mayor noted that this initiative will be developed by the Administrative Security Unit, composed of 1 and 5 Agents Cabo.

- 1 ° ESO:

How to act in case of accident:

Obligation to treat the wounded (all are obliged, denial of assistance).

Knowing what to do (protect the accident scene, notify emergency services, supporting victims).

The Public Safety Councillor explained further that the City Council of Lorca is provided a program for students in kindergarten and 1st, 2nd and 3rd Primary.

Its aim is to improve road safety for children, encouraging teamwork and develop appropriate behaviors and habits as pedestrians and travelers to prevent traffic accidents.

Participate in this initiative centers and Primary Education of Lorca, providing assistance to 500 students, who know the technical means available for this municipal service.

Great success circuits Driver Education in public parks.

Security Councilwoman anticipated that the local police will carry out a campaign of visits to public parks, repeating the experience of previous years.

Belén Pérez stated that this initiative is providing positive results as it is welcomed by children and parents.

The purpose of this activity is that children learn through play basic behaviors in road safety as well as the basic rules of movement.

In principle this initiative is expected to develop in the parks of the Vineyard, San Jose and San Cristobal, estimated at 600 the number of participants, according to the experience of previous years.

This proposal is aimed at children aged 4 to 12 years.
