Youth of China, Vietnam, India, Philippines, Greece, Lithuania, Poland and Spain in Lorca write a manual on European volunteering (21/09/2012)

Councilman Youth council of Lorca, Augustine Llamas, reported that the International Mobility Office City of Lorca (managed by Cazalla Intercultural Association) has organized a new training seminar in Lorca included in the "Silk Road to Evs ".

We're talking about an activity funded by the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union in the framework of Action 3.2 "Youth in the World".

The Youth Edil explained that the main objective of this project is to encourage youth participation in the European Voluntary Service with a Eurasian dimension that serves as an entry point to global challenges such as climate change, poverty reduction and fight against marginalization.

Besides the project partner organizations from countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, India, China, Lithuania, Greece, Poland and Spain will share best practices and create a network of Euro-Asian youth volunteer why Europe and Asia will participate in projects in these countries.

Thus the young Lorca will be offered starting in 2013 the possibility of volunteering in addition to any country in Europe also in Vietnam, India, Philippines and China.

Also has allowed all year 2012 16 youth workers have been able to visit organizations working with volunteers in these countries sharing experiences and creating networks that enable young people around the world participate in volunteer projects in China, India, Vietnam , Poland, Lithuania, Greece and Spain.

Also local events were held to promote volunteering in relation to global challenges in all countries participating in the project.

Flames Augustine stressed that the seminar last milestone of the project, held at the Youth Hostel in Coy Casagrande from 17 to 24 September will host 16 youth workers from China, Vietnam, India, Philippines, Greece, Lithuania, Poland and Spain will have as one of its main objectives to develop a handbook on European Voluntary Service to collect much of the experiences of participants and youth workers in the future serve as a support and reference for managing volunteer projects with a European dimension Asian.
