The City Council is already working on drawing up a report on flood damage (02/10/2012)

This is an evaluation form as specific as possible about the serious injury suffered by the municipality.

The information will be forwarded to the Government of Spain as soon as possible to be taken into consideration facing the aid system.

Francisco Jodar, this morning tour the facilities located at the site of Serrata, where heavy rains last Friday caused extensive damage and heavy losses.

On this visit the mayor noted that the City has already begun work to quantify the losses caused by flooding, both on private property and in municipal buildings, with the aim of transferring the data to the Central Administration at the earliest possible.

In this regard, Francisco Jodar has indicated that the city council maintains the special operation designed to meet this emergency, a plan that includes the ongoing work of 14 large shovels and more than two dozen trucks to perform tasks such as removing elements carried by water, removal of dead animals, assisting neighbors to improve the state having access to their homes and farms and livestock, clearing paths and roads.

On this last point it should be noted that the device has managed to recover and to traffic most of the network of the municipality, and have even begun to undertake some emergency repairs on these roads by distributing ballast to improve the safety of users of these pathways.

Power and water supply restored.

The Mayor has indicated that progress is being prominently in the withdrawal process animals both dead and live animals, responding to incidents that are presented in situ with the neighbors.
