A group of 17 Italian students, aged between 16 and 18 years, will stay for three weeks in the Integrated Training Center and Agricultural Experiences (CIFE) of Lorca, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, for techniques of agriculture in Murcia and carry out a program of practical issues such as operating machinery, pesticide treatments and drip irrigation, among others.
The initiative is part of the 'Agri Tour Bas', developed in the framework of the European program Leonardo Da Vinci.
The CEO of agribusiness and agricultural training, Ángel García Lidón, today attended the official reception of this group of students from the Institute of Higher Education 'G.Cerabona' of the town of Pisticci, located in the region Bassilicata.
The responsible regional emphasized that "technology transfer and training in the agricultural sector of the region of Murcia is a benchmark in the European Union".
I note also that "agricultural training is essential to maintaining the competitiveness of the sector."
Italian students will learn during your stay irrigation techniques, greenhouse cultivation, horticulture and beekeeping, among other things.

In the project 'Agri Tour Bas' (Improved quality instruction and technical training for agriculture and tourism in the region Basilicata, Italy), is a partner and also collaborates Fecoam the Ministry of Agriculture and Water.
It covers a total of three exchanges with Italian students, two of whom were held last year and in April and May 2012.
