A total of 10,995 cases have gone through the Commission, having approved aid for about 37 million euros
The Joint Commission, established by Royal Decree-Law 6/2011 on measures to repair the damage caused by the earthquakes of May 2011 in Lorca, has given the go-ahead today to 114 applications for home repair, involving aid for about 1.2 million euros, and 13 aid for trade by 59,812 euros.
In total, EUR 1,257,096.
The meeting, held this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, have studied a total of 474 records of requests for help stricken homes and shops damaged in the earthquake.
The Commission, which was established on May 25 last year in Lorca, is tasked with assessing and quantifying the aid granted to individuals under the lease applications, reconstruction, rehabilitation or repair of houses that constitute the usual residence, and for the replacement of household necessities.
Records examined by meetings and trade housing resolvent of the Joint Commission for a total of 10,995, representing aid worth 36.9 million euros, of which 5282 are for housing aid.
Of these, 4259 were for repairs (27,186,657 euros), 47 for reconstruction (2,938,569 euros) and 976 for rent (6,873,950 euros) and 164 for the trade (842,994 euros).
