The Full Council this morning agreed to include two representatives of the victims of the flooding within the Bureau for Development will serve as a channel of direct communication between the city council and the residents of the areas most affected.
The two representatives will integrate a person designated by the Platform of People Affected by Floods, formed last October 1 during a meeting at the headquarters of Ceclor.
In such entity are present representatives of unions and agricultural cooperatives and agricultural livestock Irrigation Community, and headquarters of the Association of Health Protection.
The other representatives will be chosen by the families affected by the floods, who are already holding meetings with the City Council and are being served by the municipal social services.
Will these people choose one person to represent them in the Bureau for Development.
So far the Bureau for Development has helped financially to 62 citizens affected by floods (13 families) in the amount of 3,500 euros.
It is recalled that the Bureau for Development is a working group formed at the request of the Mayor of Lorca in which all groups are represented related to recovery after earthquakes (municipal and regional political groups, Government Delegation, CARM, civic associations, neighbors affected, embassies and consulates of countries most affected ...) so far has distributed 3.4 million euros between the families most affected by the earthquakes.
The inclusion of these representatives is approved following the submission of an alternative agreement by the Municipal People to a motion to the effect elevated the Municipal Socialist Group, which was approved with the votes of the councilors of both bands.
