90 young Lorca learn a trade through the Initial Vocational Training Program of the City Council and the Autonomous Region (28/11/2012)

Students will specialize in office, computing, hairdressing, vehicle maintenance, welding and metal construction, or installation of electrical equipment and communications, as well as helping to get the high school diploma.

Jobs Councilwoman City of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, has today welcomed the 90 young Lorca that over the next year to learn a trade through Initial Vocational Training Program, launched by the fifth year running late October by the Consistory, with grants from the Department of Employment of the Autonomous Community.

Ibarra explained that they have formed six groups of specialization, in which students can be formed by lectures and one month in office practice in business, computer science, hairdressing, vehicle maintenance, welding and metal construction, or installation of electrical equipment and communications .

Lali Ibarra has stressed that the objective of this program is that "Lorca aged 16 to 19 who have dropped out of school had sufficient knowledge to better address the workforce, while they are recognized with a certificate equivalent to 2 academic No secondary education and a professional certificate level 1 (auxiliary), allowing them to continue in the adult education program for the degree in one year having passed all the secondary cycle. "

The mayor of Employment stated that "students will practice in more than sixty companies" and recalled that "last year, despite the crisis, 14 of the participants were able to stay in the company that made the practices, and others decided to continue their formal education, either secondary or vocational training, through the special review of access that have passed eight of the participants in the program.

Lali Ibarra pointed out that this year the students will learn social skills, scientific knowledge and mathematical sociolinguistic this level, and some help to improve the urban environment of the city participating in performances as we did last year with the rehabilitation of skay Park Avenue in Santa Clara or the environment of Calvary.
