The Director General of Planning and Housing, Yolanda Muñoz, had a meeting this morning with the Lorca town council for the management and recovery after the earthquake in Lorca, Saturnina Maria Martinez, in which they discussed the drafting of the Housing Plan city ​​of Lorca, which will be introduced next December.

During the meeting, Yolanda Munoz recalled that, last July, the Ministry of Public Works and Planning signed an agreement with the Ministry of Development for which the remaining funds for the years 2011 and 2012 for the Region Murcia Housing Plan, be reallocated to complete housing assistance to those affected by the earthquake in Lorca last year.

The Department is currently defining the scope of action of the Urban Renewal Areas and Areas Comprehensive Rehabilitation Plan Housing Lorca which will aid in addition to those laid down in the royal decrees, both in rehabilitation and reconstruction.

Coordination between administrations

Yolanda Muñoz said that "coordination and collaboration between public administrations working on reviving the city of Lorca is maximum, as the proof is in these meetings that we try to speed up pending cases that studies the Joint Commission.

It recalled that while we resolved more than 70 percent of aid cases presented, "there are still objections to certain documents that we intend to be resolved in the shortest possible time."

Director of Planning and Housing highlighted the work done between the two administrations with communities of owners who want to rebuild homes that were damaged by earthquakes.

"We have contacted the owners of more than 700 houses, which are covered by 35 communities of owners in order to achieve the unanimity required to rebuild their buildings," he said.
