93 Lorca received the certificate of having received practical and theoretical training in employment workshops and Municipal Workshop School (18/12/2012)

The mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, this morning delivered the diplomas that recognize their expertise in painting, masonry, gardening, museology, geriatrics, archiving and documentation, quarry, embroidery Lorca, electricity, graphic design and animation, installation of energy renewable operations domestic plumbing and air conditioning, among others.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, diplomas delivered this morning at 93 Lorca which conclude this week its program of theoretical and practical training in the Phoenix Employment Workshops I and II, and Athena Workshop School, launched by the City Council with the collaboration of the Autonomous Community and the European Social Fund.

Jódar explained that these certificates that recognize the experience of the efforts of these students in the fields of painting, masonry, gardening, museology, geriatrics, archiving and documentation, quarry lorquino embroidery and graphic design and animation, installation of energy renewable operations domestic plumbing and air conditioning, among others.

The mayor also stressed that in the practical activities made with these programs to promote employment participants contributed to the repair of parts of the Archaeological Museum, the dependent care in nursing homes in the municipality or work in the Municipal Archives.

Francisco Jódar stressed that thanks to those who now end in this program have won Alamedas beauty, with restorations such as font, streetlights or banks.

The first municipal authority also pointed out that the Phoenix Employment Workshops I and II are two of the programs put in place along with the Department of Employment and Training in the Special Employment Plan for Lorca after the earthquakes, a sign of commitment and collaboration of local and autonomous administration for the use of Lorca.

The two employment workshops (Phoenix 1 and Phoenix 2) have lasted a year and involves an investment of close to 1 million euros, while Athena Workshop School had a budget of € 1.3 million euros, executed in two years .

The Lorca 43 young unemployed who have participated in the Workshop School Athena, were the first 6 months scholarship, and the following contract year and a half, to receive training in various specialties and perform work developing and implementing this training.

In addition to training in their specialty, students have studied computer modules cross, job search resources, environmental awareness, gender equality, occupational safety, social economy and basic training.
