The Councillor of Social Services of the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, thanked the Foundation donation of 11 Juegaterapia consoles intended for users children Early Childhood Center in our town.

The mayor explained that Juegaterapia Foundation is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of cancer patients hospitalized children, through play.

All children attending this center thanks to this donation can also play with game consoles in their leisure time within the special educational programming that follow.

The Councillor of Social Services pointed out that the earthquake destroyed the former headquarters of the Municipal Center for Early.

From City Hall was a priority to find a suitable facility to resume as soon as possible this service.

In fact it was the first service to be restored by the City, as we were well aware of the importance of children's center users would not lose a single day of his attentions.

Therefore we decided to remove to the House of oenegés, location that remained provisionally until last March.

Among the many expressions of solidarity that we have received Lorca after the earthquakes, include one that has been of particular importance, since it has allowed the center to open today is a reality that surpasses and substantially improves headquarters that were available to on May 11, 2011.

This new center has a total floor area of ​​461 m2, distributed in a building ground floor.

The same holds 13 rooms and classrooms of stimulation, speech therapy, physiotherapy, Multisensory, psychomotor, Research, Assessment, Meeting Room, Room care parents, administration and service areas and toilets for children and other adults, in both cases adapted for the disabled.

Jodar Ruiz explained that Juegaterapia Foundation is collecting and recycling used consoles and deliver them to hospitals and other health thanks to the collaboration of the company Envialia performing all sizes anywhere in Spain.
