The Consistory establishes a plan that contemplates the whole municipality.

The unit will handle BRAVO town and neighborhoods, while the monitor UPROL villages.

The Councillor for Safety of the City of Lorca, María Belén Pérez, has reported that on the occasion of the summer holiday period, and in order to ensure public safety in our municipality, the city council launched a special device for the summer.

Perez Martinez explained that the objective set by the Department of Public Safety leads to increased police presence around the urban area of ​​the city and in the villages, through increased uniformed patrols monitoring functions, advisory security, prevention and reaction to the commission of criminal acts.

In parallel to the deterrent and preventive action involved the police presence, the plan provides for an increase in contacts with officials of hotel, restaurant, retail, tourism offices, etc.., Because these are professionals who are more directly related to the population it aims to reach the initiative.

Within the same plan are coordinated actions with other agencies such as the National Police and Civil Guard, accentuating the preventive role in the use of road traffic in urban areas.

Maria Belen Pérez stressed that this overall strategy of crime prevention includes all of the districts.

This plan is based on the continued presence of the unit UESCARM, 24 hours a day, in all the districts that make up the municipality of Lorca, and the performance of the unit that carried UPROL Prevention Operating Devices (vehicle controls and people) on all roads in the Municipal District, both primary and secondary, to prevent and avoid the commission of criminal acts, that will be established four zones of action.
