Great social host the exhibition "Bulls from Burladero", the Madrid painter Jose Lopez "Canito" (19/09/2013)

The Lyceum Gallery hosted yesterday afternoon in the opening of the exhibition "Bulls from Burladero" authored by renowned painter José López Fernández Madrid "Canito".

The event was the presence of the artist, along with the President of Liceo Lorca, Javier Pinilla, the Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, the Presidents of the bullfights that take place in our city, and Santos González Gil Fulgencio and Vice President and promoter Hostelor Bullfighting September, Peter Lucas, and numerous citizens and bullfighting fans.

It should be noted that the collection which can be seen on the walls of the Lyceum Gallery, located in the Plaza de Santiago, opposite the parish namesake, shows a series of scenes related to the world of bullfighting, reflecting skilled frontline taurine current scene, as is the case of Puebla Morante.

Biographical notes

José López Fernández "CANITO" (Madrid, 1942).

This artist is a painter Toledo descent embodied in bullfighting theme.

He has also done about a hundred posters of important exhibitions, among which are: "The official poster of San Isidro" in Madrid 1986, Sevilla, 1990; Magdalena Castellon, Caracas (Venezuela), and in Mexico, 1992 .

His paintings are found in museums around the world, and especially so Ronda bullfighting and Valencia.

The year 1994 was important in his career.

In February, she was paid an exciting tribute in the Venezuelan city of Merida, on the occasion of his twentieth consecutive years exhibiting his works at the famous Feria del Sol music band Bullring this Andean town, began with a concert tribute in honor of the painter pasodobles, which preceded the words of Dr. Germán Uzcátegui, presenting the act.

The mayor of the city, by resolution of the corporation which he chaired, was named distinguished guest.
