Lorca City Council said this morning during an extraordinary session of the Municipal Council support for the Central Union of Irrigation Tajo-Segura, Memorandum for the Tajo-Segura acquire the force of law the city council has also expressed support for the Memorandum on the Tajo-Segura.

It also approved support for the initiatives of the President of the Government of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Central Union of Irrigation, in defense of the Tajo-Segura.

Note that each local group had filed its own motion in this regard, so that after the interventions carried out by representatives of each of the local groups, the Mayor has chosen to establish a break in plenary session with the order to agree a joint motion.

However, no agreement has been reached, so we proceeded to vote on the motions of the groups represented in the municipality.

Agreements of the motion submitted by the municipal group IU-Greens:

REJECTED: 2 votes (IU), 16 against (PP), with 6 abstentions (PSOE).

Agreements of the motion submitted by the municipal group PSOE:

REJECTED: 2 abstentions (IU), 16 against (PP) and 6 in favor (PSOE).

Agreements of the motion submitted by the municipal group of PP:

APPROVED: 16 votes (PP), 2 against (IU), with 6 abstentions (PSOE).
