The Councillor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, reported Friday morning on 4 October in Huerto Ruano the opening of a group exhibition of artists' collective Almeria "Gabar".
The mayor explained that this is a very special show because she was ready to be viewed and scheduled for last May 12, 2011 as part of Huerto Ruano, so that could not be developed as a result of the strong earthquake that shook the city just on the eve of his coming long.
Martinez Navarro explained that the Gabar Group is an Association of Artists based in the region of Vélez bearing the name of one of the great mountains of the Sierra de Maria, an enclave in which were found many years ago with paint coats cave.
Since its inception have maintained a very close relationship with the Association Lorca "Encounters in Art" with those who have already done some exhibitions on an exchange.
The opening ceremony will be at 20 am and can be visited during the month of October.
The collection includes works created by 30 artists over Almeria, a compendium of styles and shapes in search of the common goal of growing Art Association.
