Community, City and State agree to increase by 32 million investment this year for the 'Plan Lorca +' (06/02/2014)

The Community, the City of Lorca and the state government have reached an agreement to extend 32 million investment this year's 'Plan Lorca +' for the reconstruction and economic recovery of the city of the sun.

The initiative, which has a total investment of 72 million euros from the state by 2014, will focus on the implementation of infrastructure and Employment Plan Lorca.

The Secretary of State for Public Administration, Antonio Beteta, chaired the meeting yesterday, at which the Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, the Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, and Mayor participated Lorca, Francisco Jodar.

At the meeting, the three administrations discussed the outstanding issues and decided to push economic actions contained in the 'Plan Lorca +'.

The Lorca Plan includes public investment in the city by 533 million euros by 2020.

In the State Budget for this year have been entered for this plan heading for 72 million euros, representing a significant increase of 80 percent, a result of the coordinated work of the Government of Spain with the Autonomous Community and the City .

The investment of 72 million euros will be complemented by specific programs of different ministries, also led to the recovery of the city, within the priority that the Government remains committed to the economic recovery of Lorca.

Also, in order to subsidize works of Lorca, emphasizes the transfer of 5.6 million by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration.

This is a game intended for municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants under the Operational Programme of the Region of Murcia Feder funds.

In addition to rebuilding and improving infrastructure, one of the principal axes of the meeting was the implementation of the NAP, with the dual aim of training unemployed Lorca and generate employment for economic revival in the city.

In addition the Secretary of State, the directors and the mayor, attended by the Secretary of State for Employment, Engracia Hidalgo, assistant secretary of the Presidency, Jaime Perez Renovales and Development, Mario Garcés, general secretary of Regional and Local Coordination, Rosana Navarro and President of the Official Credit Institute, Román Escolano.
