This is the range of activities planned by the Department of the Mayor which includes a total of 1628 hours, 21 workshops, health education, arts area 9, 6 and 1 new technology techniques for improving memory .
The Mayor Councillor Policy and Social Services City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, reported that the city council has launched a new range of courses for the group of older people who will develop during the first half of year both in the town and villages.
Jódar Ruiz explained that it is 37 courses, of which 21 are related to health education, 9 artistic creation, entertainment and crafts, 6 on new technologies and 1 memory training.
We're talking, overall, a total of 1628 hours, having to run an investment of 36,336.60 euros.
According to the forecasts made by the technicians of the Department will benefit from these courses 564 seniors, 365 of which will participate in the workshops of health education (gerontogimnasia), 131 in the artistic area, 54 the new technologies and activities 14 in memory.
The mayor of Staff has said that this offer has been designed in response to the demand expressed by many groups and associations of older people, and based on experience from previous years schedules.
The Mayor Alderman stressed that the courses will be carried to term in the Open Center Mayor Square (Tanners), Local Social level crossing, Alfonso X Civic Center, Local Social La Viña, Pavilion San Jose, and Senior Centers in Torrecilla, Campillo, Terce, Marchena, La Hoya, La Campana, The Wire, Morata, Ramonete Zarcilla, Coy, La Paca, Pulgara and Parish.
Different modalities included are called muscle memory, pintira, Storytelling, Dressmaking, Yoga and Tai Chi, Ballroom, Crafts, Computers (beginners and advanced), Internet, Creative Classroom
